The Being Group created the name, brand position, communication strategy and collateral to promote a $50 million programme that sets a new benchmark for high-quality open spaces. The parks were developed in collaboration with local councils and communities, so it was imperative the people-centric project communicated with an authentic, accessible, inclusive and positive voice.
City of Parramatta has been repositioning itself as a dynamic river city and economic powerhouse at the centre of global Sydney. The Being Group created a campaign framework to align its communications, developed a “how-to” approach to tactical campaigns and re-energised its ongoing brand-building campaign.
Cleanaway is Australia’s largest waste management company, with almost 5,000 trucks and 300 branches, and a presence in the UK. Cleanaway required help with a new recycling campaign on the NSW Central Coast, complemented by e-learning, to engage children from a young age. The campaign was developed in collaboration with Cleanaway and the Central Coast Council. Our solution was “Don’t shame. Entertain!” The Being Group developed a full suite of short, comedic animations to show correct bin and recycling use in a fun, accessible and effective way.
The Being Group developed and produced the state and national award-winning Everyone Can Play Guideline, to provide all those who design, build, maintain and use play spaces with tools to make them more inclusive. Compiling the input of 75 invested advisory and advocacy stakeholders, we streamlined community, council, government and supplier perspectives, from three separate workshops, to shape an inclusive structure and narrative.
One of Australia’s oldest local government authorities, Hunters Hill Council, secured The Being Group’s services for a suite of content to inform the community of planned developments in the area. This included a printed Local Strategic Planning Statement, collateral to promote a local growers’ market and community art exhibition, and branding for a vibrant new library and community space called The Yarn.
The Department of Planning and Environment asked The Being Group for help consolidating two environmental priorities – Greening Public Spaces and Greening Our City – into one powerful identity. Better Places was chosen after careful consideration of its political, cultural, psychological and linguistic implications and scalable application to any improvement, from park benches to planting a tree. The messaging was rolled out across a suite of collateral, merchandise, digital applications, website and signage including major billboards.
Australia’s Fair Work Commission wished to develop a suite of online learning modules to support external stakeholders to undertake self-education on important workplace relations topics. This included production in conceptual, technical and visual design. The e-learning framework has been engineered to be fully compatible with the Fair Work Commission platform, with its abilities and limitations in mind. With a clearly defined target audience and objectives, The Being Group carefully ensured the content was crafted to align with the Commission’s Cooperative Workplaces programme.
Launched in 2018, the NSW Office of Sport’s Active Kids program offers parents, guardians and carers two $100 vouchers each year to contribute to their child’s participation in sport and active recreation. The Office of Sport asked The Being Group to create a campaign that increased the number of vouchers created and redeemed in the lowest performing local government areas. The campaign’s key tagline – Be Bold. Be Active. – is complemented by a suite of short, inspirational and versatile headlines, expressed in bright, appealing, colourful graphics.
The Being Group has been working with IP Australia, an agency of the Department of Industry, Innovation and Science, across a number of projects. We provided copywriting, editing and design services for a series of four printed and online reports, and created its annual report. We also created a suite of explainer videos around key intellectual property questions. Senior members of our Visual Media team held a two-day workshop with IP Australia’s internal multimedia team members, upskilling them in video and photography, post-production and animation.
